Throw the poxie Grant in the bin, it may be doing your head in now but wait until its nice and hot and leaps off the wheel onto your crutch. Thats when you know your alive. Very Happy

No problem, I have one on mine but certainly wont ever buy another and try to help others aviod them.

We may refuse to fit it due to it being deemed "unsafe" 👼
Who's car are we talking about anyway?

Thats it ...now there is another page i have to fill with pics.

Engine in Yesterday

Look how much room there is around the twrs now with the notching kit. Unfortunately the original NC headers will not fit without modification still, the right hand side hits the brake booster and the left is angled out towards the front rails.. Stay tuned for that one.
Oh yeh! i finished running the brake lines on the diff and to the lh front brake caliper.

Stacks of room around the back , room for all the wiring harness and hoses.

Looks brilliant mate, nearly enough room for another engine, or maybe fit a 351w

I have a 351w , but this is a cruiser not a fuel guzzler.

That's what they all say, then you find a nice quiet winding road and something just happens

yes mate 80mm if i remember rightly, did it 2 years ago when it was lhd and had to move it forward for the aircon to clear the towers. Dont have that issue any more with the RRS suspenion and notching kit. However the bell housing cant go much further back unless i widen the tunnel more than i already have, or drop the gearbox lower. I cant drop the motor lower or the starter (which sits lower and on the left side with the 4sp auto) will fowl the rack... even more so on a non rack applications.

I slapped this in yesterday and havent got back to it since due to socialising untill 3am and then recovering today..... but i can move it back about 50mm with my current gbox mount adjustment setup. But i really need to put the bonnet and export brace back on , aswell as sorting out the exhaust manifold/extractors to get its final resting position.
I will also point out that the motor in its present position makes it so the original mustang tailshaft needs no modifications/shortening and the yoke spline is the same.

Put some hours in with very little progress , moved engine back... moved engine forwards again couldnt fit a pair of NC Failane headers on after spending hours bending and cutting to clear steering uni, couldnt fit on F250 cast manifolds on .. passenger fits, drivers hits steering uni.. am currently cutting up old XY Falcon genie extractors , gave up a few times but have succesfully moded the rhs but the lhs is totally f.... up and will have to be built from scratch.
Looks like i will either fit the old Falcon cast manifolds i know fit, that i had for the original mockup 2 years ago to get it over the pits. Or fork out for rh pacemaker headers that i think will also have to be modded for the lh starter motor.
Looks like i will have to take up Pete's (exhausted) offer and trailer the mustang to his workshop in Perth and maybe fab up a LH header.

F250 manifolds

Stock NC Failane header.. no pic of rhs

Cutting up XY extractors

This is the rh fitted with the steering uni disconnected before modding. I will show the finished result later.

I did sorta fit the rest of the system, brackets are fitted but the tailpipes are loose fitted atm, i wont weld anything untill the front pipes are hooked up. I also have to fit Hi-Flow cat converters and oxygen sensors between the front pipes and headers.

Scott, I thought you had JBA headers for this ?
Or was that someone else?
My exhaust doesnt arrive till next month, if you want my headers to test fit your welcome to them. Although may still have the same issue with the starter being on the other side..

Cheers,
