Ok awesome.
I think I will bite the bullet and get some after xmas. Hopefully Capital Classics have them in stock. The rails have been bugging me since I patched them.

I plan to do a run south for a long weekend to meet you guys once the car is going, a beer BBQ at Kerry's perhaps if he will have us. Not sure if he has any sheep for my Red Border collie to chase around, she does a good job of my chooks!

A bed is always available & we are always looking for an excuse for a BBQ... Cheers

As for the border collie, we have a neighbour with a red cattle dog (Red is her name) & she loves to round up the chickens. However if sheep is her specialty, then we can throw her over the fence as our neighbour has sheep.

Update, is I'm going to go down to Boss wreckers and cut the side out of an XF van, I was down there a couple of weeks back and they are real close, Even has the swage just above in the roof line. I'm going to give them a try first. My plan to un pic the lower panel from the gutter but leave the upper and graft that into the edge of the turret

Hmm she tries to eat my chickens so I'm keen to chuck her in with some sheep.

Have a look under it before you buy to see how the roof is attached to the gutter. Common to see it chain welded. If so still not too bad to do as you cut the roof skin away & then grind it a little (does not matter if some of the roof skin remains). Once you have the gutter on & you make up the roof section, only weld the new roof repair piece to the old roof & glue (Sika if you like) the roof to the rail. That will seal it as well. That is what I did to the Victorypark car that Ausjacko now owns.

Kerry the car will have vinyl top on it as well, I was thinking of perhaps drilling some holes in the flange from the roof where it sitts in the rail and sweating some nickle bronze neatly via the holes to hold it together. Then seam sealer prior to normal paint work, then the vinyl top, and a wipe of black Sika over the lot vinyl to edge.

Do not need to braze it as the bonded area using the glue is huge & it seals at the same time. I am doing Q at the moment & most of the rear 1/4 panels will be glued. Did the same to Flameman1's car the other week.

Kerry,
what's involved in replacing the gutters if I get some from Capital?
Is it major work?
Am I better off just sticking with repairing the existing ones?

I will do a picture search of the Victorypark coupe we did & add to my photobucket. It shows you what is involved. You only need to replace the lower front pillar sections?

Yeah they are the worst parts, although I'm not too happy about the repair I did at the rear using the patch piece you gave me, but I can probably clean that up good enough.
