Hi all,
Just finished a full engine bay restoration / rebuild on my 66 and went to check my lights, heater, radio and wipers and they all work as they should but my wipers do not go all the way down to the bottom of the wind shield like they are used to. Wiper motor is still the original. Any clues as to why?

Do they return to the same place each time? Or just stop when you turn the switch off?

They stop wherever they are. Both speeds work.

OK, look at the bottom of the wiper motor and you should find two push on spade connectors. Make sure they are both connected, from memory they are green.

Nassi, if both of the green wires are connected, where is the next place to look?

If they park in a particular spot each time, there is an internal adjustment. I have never tried it though.
If they just stop where ever you turn it off, it is probably that switch your having trouble with.

Ok, I'll wait until I get the new switch. They just stop where they are.

I guess it's possible the new switch was partially falling apart before I turned it on the first time, but working well enough for the wipers to turn on.
My wipers parked when I first put it all together I'm sure.
