Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Alright, alright... I have some parts here from back in the days when I was at high school... I'm gonna fit a set of pedals!! No sparkplugs and getting fit at the same time!!

Also another good reason to do a Shelby clone... more fibreglass = less weight to pedal around :snigger:

Hey!! even better... I could drop a 4cyl diesel in it and then there are no spark-plugs to worry about at all :rotfl:

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Thank you very much for the info Kerry, I'll certainly give a bell when it comes time to replace the air-con  While I was browsing their website I found something interesting in their current restorations, the Boss 429 shock towers they are fitting to the '67, this would make it a hell of a ...

Roughly how much do you think an Old Air unit would cost me?

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Continuing on with Dave's visit last Saturday, while I was running around tearing my garage upside down looking for bolts to fit through the engine stand and into the 390's block, Dave tirelessly hooked into parts from the interior: The fan seems to be looking relatively new: http://i963.photobucket...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Have a set in the cave. Excellent!! :D I don't suppose you have time to drop in for a cuppa, a game on a pinball machine and to hold the stamps as I swing the hammer wildly with a blindfold on (or even without the last bit)?? :poke: Maybe Wednesday. i'll set myself a reminder to bring the stamps. F...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

C7AE-A heads, C6ME-A block. probably a 2U crank, all standard stuff for a 67 390. One would assume a overbore, 0.020/0/0.030. Looks like a stock C7AE-E cast iron intake. As its already rebuilt I'm guessing you are just going to detail it, not tinker? Wrap it in a plastic bag and it will be fine for...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Yeah, mine did the same thing. Looks similar. It's held 3 FEs for up to a month or more with no ill effects.... I think if you get the shorter bolts and tighten it up it may help avoid some sag in the system. It's good to know mine isn't "standing out in the crowd" but actually has happen...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

I personally wouldn't leave it on the stand until it goes back in. I would buy/build a frame with wheels so it can be moved around. I *would* like to build an engine run-in type of frame so I can mount it with the transmission, radiator, exhaust headers (or extractors) etc... and make it an adjusta...

Sorry for the lack of information... but as I don't know any of the specs there is no point of saying anything... http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae116/OzStang390/The%20Muzzy/100_2847.jpg~original http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae116/OzStang390/The%20Muzzy/100_2848.jpg~original http://i963.ph...
