Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Nice work. So I assume your doing the 390 up to be all shiny with go fast parts? So what is the Mert plan - Boof likes engine porn. Actually the engine was fully rebuilt over in the U.S. by a friend of mine who has a Mustang restoration business... and while I don't know any of the specs of the reb...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

390 goes in right at 600 lbs (thems 272.7272727.... kgs, I like that number!) per Ford docs. ... less alt., starter, fan, belts, & air cleaner Thank you for the specs Mert. So... even with all the accessories (minus air-condition compressor and alternator) it should still come-in way under the ...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Dave read this thread and saw I was going to pull the engine out and he turned up on the doorstep this morning just as I was on the phone to Mert discussing "eye-candy and go-fast parts". So here are the pics: http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae116/OzStang390/The%20Muzzy/Disassembly%20Pr...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Well... looks like it might be a productive weekend, I managed to wrangle and wrestle the engine hoist and engine stand to the front of the garage and in the process managed to get the replacement trunk lid out of the back of the garage and ready for changing over... ...and for those out there who a...
I gratefully accept your offer, so when can you come over to do it??... I'll make sure you are all "brewed" up  . Glenn, I would feel really bad denying you the opportunity to play with "Misty". :poke:
DAMN!! ever since you and ozbilt (Da...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

There are a lot of interesting names from you all... especially "Arthur"?? Only just caught up on this one and did not realize you had started Arthur. If you invited a few around we could have that thing apart in no time. You have to get a bigger rug though- just saying. You all ha...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

You need to work Dave harder! Usually takes me a day to totally strip a complete car and that's with a brew break every hour or so. And yours was already halfway there!! :poke: I gratefully accept your offer, so when can you come over to do it??... I'll make sure you are all "brewed" up :...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

I did manage a couple of other photos but didn't think them all that interesting, but here they are, looking at the wiring near the fuel filler: http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae116/OzStang390/The%20Muzzy/Disassembly%20Progress/2015-07-03%2013.47.16_zpsgsqmftce.jpg~original The inside of the tru...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

From the silence I gather the naming challenge has hit a brick wall?! Probably on par with your disassembly pics?? So... your saying I needed more pictures for the couple of items Dave removed for me?? I *was* going to take more pics of how much has been removed but it got to the poi...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Well... I was dragged out of bed this morning by a phone call from Dave, he found out he had a day free from the duties of family life and so suggested a day of frivolity (Starting to strip down the Muzzy)... After an entrée of pain killers and then breakfast Dave turned up and we hooked in to pull...

Re: Glenn's '67 Project (without a clever name)

Well... she is still a "Horse with no name"... mind you... when she is complete, running and registered, I could "Go out for dessert in a horse with no name" <-- hands up all those who sang that line in their heads ;) Ahem... :impatient: http://www.mustangtech.com.au/Forums/view...
