335 or so S code convertibles. They made more shells but a bunch were Shelby's so the total is in the 500-ish range if I recollect correctly. My 390 is leaking oil from the thread on the oil pressure sender, I have removed the sender and it is made of steel and the housing is alloy. There is no sign of any sealing tape or product to seal it. The housing is not cracked and in near new. Some advice on the correct way to install the sender a...

Looks good Chopper, but a word of warning for others. Caustic is bad firstly for human flesh (really bad) and secondly it will eat alluminium or the cast pot metal (your plate is made from) if left for any lemgth of time. Used with respect though it is a good friend for the restorer. JMO. Correct n...

I am nearly there with the console, i just need one more part and i have no idea where to get it or if it can be purchased. I need the shifter plate for a console shifter mount they are different to the standard one as they have 2 raised mounts to attach the shifter and a rod hole for gear indicator...

Thanks to scott66stang for the templates they arrived safely today.
Scott drake had all the parts I need to referb including the selector plate.
I will post some pics as it comes together.

Thanks Scott and mike a paper template should do the job, I pick up the console on Saturday and will spend a few weeks refurbing before I will need the template.
Not a easy thing to find a 68 console and not cheap either.

I have purchased a second hand 68 console and was told i would have to cut it because mine is a vert, is this right?? do you have to modify the base to fit a vert? and if correct does anyone have a template.
