any tips on making lists of what parts you have or need? are the pink a3 exploded view booklets, THE reference when it comes to this? I have tidied up the garage and will be starting to catelog what parts I have, what needs restoring, what needs replacing, etc... but especially whats missing. cheers

agreed, however even ford had revisions to parts from factory line original to replacements. most replacement ford pards and reproduced parts arent 100% identical to factory parts, but are used for the people who need that part to complete their car. this pad is only acailable secondhand and warped ...

The way they were done originally does not appeal to me, just how can i make the exact same thing today. i do not know if 3d printing is the way to manufacture these on a large scale, but it should be a great way of getting a prototype sorted.

for now, I will be experimenting with a few different ways of doing things to get something close. if it turns out, great. if it doesnt, no probs. I am not after mass production, I am after a small setup that may work to make a couple. if I get a million orders for them, yes, worth the big bucks you...

that would be correct, however I am enjoying the search for impossible parts and random emails or messages from guys that can help me out with bits. its about the journey, not the destination. if I was driving my car already, I wouldnt know half the useless stuff I know...

I dont really mind spending some time researching this topic, and getting what I think I need together to make a few. ignore the thousands of dollars, my time is free when im not getting paid by someone to do something,
