Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
3 phase is a must, especially if you want to run solar panels. I had solar panels installed in November of 2019 and have been in credit ever since. My costs were reimbursed in a little over 2 years (I expected 4 to 5 years to get that expense back)

Re: 71’ F100 Bumpside
Hi cage, you need to call me.
Of course, you buy the model with the most complicated bed
The bed is not too technical, but needs to come apart & get dipped AFTER the rust repairs are completed to all the sections. Then most of it gets glued back together, not fully welded.

https://i.postimg.cc/8PJfX8Wt/4085-FB03-7-EB5-42-D3-AC67-AC09093-CE891.jpg My 70 Mach 1 came with a 69 rear quarter extension on the LH side. Stupidly (because I know that non OEM stuff doesn’t fit well) I bought a new 70 extension. Surprise - it doesn’t match the quarter panel line well at all. So...

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe
I have done a few, but not as many as 67/8 cars. Your biggest issue (if using the original instrument bezel and glove box) is that they are taller in the center than they are at each end (when in LHD configuration) so when swapping them you have to play around with the lower edge of the dash metal t...

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe
I would agree with hybrid.
Keep talking to various engineers until you find one that actually is interested in viewing your build and the specs on what you have to install.
Bosskraft's build a few years back regarding a 429 Hemi into a 67 was ok'd in principle by his engineer

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe
Welding both edges of a lap weld is of no advantage in terms of strength. Fully weld underneath and seal the top. Welding both sides can actually promote rust because of moisture entrapment. All the weld through primer in the world will not stop that from happening. I used to get my students to perf...

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe
BTW, the floors in my picture were fully welded underneath while on the rotisserie. Prevents moisture getting in that lap join and rusting it out. I just seal the top as water should not be getting inside the car. Reality, the chances of these cars getting wet is minimal at worst (Mrsozbilt's Mach1 ...
