Re: Mike's 68
Sounds like you are making progress.... Squealing in the blower is usually bad motor bearings. The fan has lots of clearance, unless its really shifted... Pull the motor off the housing and connect it to a battery outside the box, that'll tell you if its the bearings. If you go to pull the fan they...

Re: Mike's 68
Ok... So headlights are sorted I think. Probably still need some tweaking for alignment but reasonably good now. I pulled the buckets out to check they were in the correct side and the springs were in place. They were! It also appears that whilst the buckets could probably be put in the wrong side y...

Re: Mike's 68
Well, I now have the blower wir d up but shit is it making some noise! I'm sure it was fine when I reassembled it however I think the fan blade is scraping on something... On another note, whilst I got in and adjusted the headlights they are still too high yet seem to be adjusted all the way in at t...

Re: Mike's 68
:bananadance: YAHOO!!! Found the problem with the wiper motor... With my newly purchased (simple Repco branded) multimeter in hand (well, both hands actually) I have discovered nothing more than a simple earthing problem between the wiper motor body and a good ground in the vehicle frame. Have also ...

Re: Mike's 68
Thanks Nassi,
Yes the nylon bush is in however interesting point on the different types for application. It hadn't occurred to me and so am unsure. It was 100% working previously then just failed so I can only guess it is correct but will double check when ordering.
BTW it is power disc / drum combo

Re: Mike's 68
Ok, brakes problem identified... I actually went a bought a half decent (at least better) multimeter and have confirmed the brakes circuit works however the switch of course is not closing the circuit - was always going to be the most likely culprit so will order a (couple/few) new ones...

Re: Mike's 68
You likely already understand the circuit for the brake lights. Any way, for what it is worth, check you have 12V one side of the brake switch, then see when pressed the 12v on the other side. Then goes into the column where the column indicator switch controls the output to the rear lights. No 12v...

Re: Mike's 68
So, the wiper motor has continuity across the red and white wires. Nothing happening in the other two wires not that I know what to expect though. My project has an AAW harness and the windscreen washer manual foot pump integrated wiper switch is kaput so in advice from the AAW site (thanks Nassi) y...
