Re: Fuel sending units for 67 Mustang

nassi is right, they are the luck of the draw. Fuel senders are the bain of my build so far. I've been through four of them, plastic or brass floats make no difference. I recommend buying two of them if you are to replace the current one. Watch out for the seal of the sending unit wire. It fails and...

Re: replacing ac

I'm also at the same point with the under dash setup in my factory air 70. My plan is to get a new heater core (brass type), foam and seal kit, factory repo heater hoses and replace the vacuum lines and devices. I'll also need a tap as I don't' have one and a set of ducts that go from the heater box...

Re: Poor quality parts

Onto my fourth fuel sender unit. They tend to start leaking around the rubber grommet of the fuel level sending unit electrical plug.

Scott Drake aren't any better than the cheaper Chinese stuff. If you need one order two as this will ruin your day.

Re: Be careful using NGK FR5's in your alloy headed Windsor!

this is the second issue I've heard about NGK issues. About 18 months ago a mate I worked with complained about NGK's when he swapped all his Land rover plugs to them. Like me we have both used them in the past and never had an issue. This time the Landie wouldn't start. Went through the lot, leads,...

Re: What to use in a Parts Cleaner?

If its a late model parts washer be careful, they have plastic inside the pumps and cannot use hydrocarbons like petrol etc. I have new one that only uses water based cleaners. I use a mix of simple green and water and it works fine, even for old grease and much. Filter it out, drain off the oil and...

Re: New body shells

I think the Dynacorn shells are a good idea as a replacement for a car that has had the unfortunate happen to it and is unrepairable.

I know it is perfectly legal to re-shell a late model car if that occurs. Would it be as straight forward with a Mustang?

I like the look of the RTR stuff. This is also a nice body kit for the current car.

Looks good and I can't say it looks el drifto.

Re: '70 aftermarket gauge panels. Help

I have the JME panel and Autometer Phantom gauges. It's a nice setup and easy to install. The panel itself is waaay overpriced (in this day and age of 3D printers) and will take some modification to your wiring harness to get going. I would buy again. Oh, I'm told after sales isn't crash hot with JM...

Re: power steering rack

I have converted to a power rack in my 70. It's something that's my personal preference. The unit I have is a UniSteer rack and it took a lot of mucking about to get it sorted and fitted. Yes I do have one for sale a brand new (shipped the wrong one) 64-66 rack in the classifieds section :-) I would...

Whilst a bit noisy the Carters are good value for money. Google the 4000 series and find one to suit your needs.

Alignment of non stock steering - Perth

A search hasn't uncovered anything on the site so any help is appreciated. I have a 1970 and have just finished a conversion from the manual aftermarket rack to a power rack setup. It now needs alignment. Does anyone know of a alignment shop in Perth (prefer SOR) that can do an alignment. It's not h...
