Yes a new steering wheel is a good idea. That model Grant splinters badly and that bloody horn setup is the worst.

Haven't decided if I'll fit the chrome trim yet. Has anyone seen cars without the trim fitted? Thinking I can just build the lip up to the correct height by welding some 2mm wire on the edge, just like when building up doors etc. Yes quite a few about 6 years ago, they looked quite good actually.
