Re: Husky's 65 Restomod
So, fitted some new wheels yesterday and decided to drop the rear another 1"(or at least try to). Thank god I decided to, as I found something pretty funky. Anyway, jacked the rear up, and noticed that the shock plastic covers were melted on one side. That's not right, as the exhaust hasn't mo...

Re: ozbilt's California MG TC build
The red 1953 MG TD Bob & I built back in the late 90's ....... This thread brings back some memories - my late father bought a new TD back in the day, Silver Streak Grey with red interior. A really beautiful car although he always said he wished he had got the TC as he preferred the wire wheels...

Re: carby leaks
As noted there are a number of different filters. Be careful as they are close and you can destroy the threads in the carb body with the wrong one if you are not careful (had a heck of a time finding the right one for a 2100 I have) IIRC a Motorcraft F-15 is correct and the current model is the FG-...

Re: 65 front sway bar installation
Just checked the Moog website. They are Blue Thermoplastic bushes, whatever the hell that is??? Supposed improved handling and performance, eliminates squeaking, resistant to oil, salt, ozone, weather or other road contaminants.
Might order some rubber ones just in case.

Re: 65 front sway bar installation
Changed out the 5/8 inch coat hanger for the 24mm Whiteline swaybar - the angle grinder made short work of the old end links. Used Moog end links and bushes. Just wondering about the bushes - I've always used Moog because they are good quality black rubber, these ones turned up and they are blue. Fe...

Re: 65 front sway bar installation
Thanks for that guys, it's a job for next weekend, so will see how I go. Thanks for the tips Kerry. Yeh, Nuts, I could get under there OK, but it was a bit cramped. Spent an hour under there yesterday and couldn't budge the end link nuts. Have soaked them with WD40 and will get it up on stands next ...

Re: 65 front sway bar installation
Well just for the record, yes it's in te right way up, and thanks Kerry for having a squiz underneath it at CNC. BTW for anyone who's interested, the 1" bar made a massive improvement in the steering and handling. A must-do if you're only running a stock 5/8" "sway-wire" as Kerr...
