Re: 351C Engine Questions-Comp Ratio and Induction ETC
When the heads were done all the valves were replaced with 1 piece, 2V inlets and 4V exhausts with hardened exhaust inserts and bronze guides. I didn't spend a lot on the bottom end as I was a broke apprentice when the engine was built. It all seemed to work without any issues though. No rattles, mi...

Re: 351C Engine Questions-Comp Ratio and Induction ETC
Thanks for the link Shaunp and I'm definitely interested in the carb but it might be a couple of weeks before i've got the cash. If you could PM the price that'd be great. Boof, I was thinking of opening up the chambers a bit for the same reasons. The chambers are 58cc so it bumps the comp up a litt...

Re: holley vs edelbrock
I've actually got a 570 avenger on the 302 in the coupe, but haven't driven the car on the road. It does seem to start easier than the old 600 holleys I've used in the past though.

Re: holley vs edelbrock
This is a question I was going to ask also ref my 351c thread. I've used holleys in the past but had heard good things about the edelbrocks, especially that they can be better on fuel consumption. As a 3rd option has anyone used a road demon carb?

351C Engine Questions-Comp Ratio and Induction ETC
Hi All, I've decided to go with a 351C for the 69 Coupe. I have a 351C I built up about 12 years ago to run straight LPG and want to give it a freshen up and convert it back to running on premium 98 fuel specs are: stock bottom end with .020" flat top pistons 302C closed chamber heads 2v intake...

Re: 56 effie.. FnL
A mate bought a 55 F truck around the time I bought the Mustang. He's had a concept drawing done and is in the middle of organising the mods. His plans are for a Roadster Shop chassis with corvette front/rear suspension. Drivetrain will be twin turbo 5.0 coyote and T56. He's in negotiations to be th...

I've used EF-AU Falcon twin fans before on X series Falcons with the big crossflow radiator that worked well. They fit with minor mods to the factory fan shroud. I have a set in the shed if you want a measurements/pics.

Re: Driving lights for a 66
What is the diameter of the factory fog lights? If they are 5 3/4 inch you can get a halogen spot beam insert and use 100w bulbs. If they are 4 inch I'm pretty sure you can still get 100w sealed beam inserts. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HEADLIGHT-INSERTS-High-Beam-CLEAR-SPOT-BEAMS-NEW-/290555598481?p...

Re: Late Windsors- which is best for transplant?
Shaunp- thanks for the lead on a 351 block. My thought is if I go 351 cubes I will use the 351C I've already got. I'm actually thinking the clevo might be the way to go. The only real issue with it is I built it for straight LPG. The static compression ratio is 11.3:1 which might be a little high fo...

Haha they're already gone. 15x9 and 15x10 v5's. I did trial fit them but the 10s were the wrong offset and they might last a week without buckling on the shitty roads.

Dollars area bit short at the moment due to the Mrs being 7 months along with our 2nd bub...

Re: Late Windsors- which is best for transplant?
Found these pistons on ebay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/140909902273 ... 1438.l2649
Flat tops with 1.635 comp height. Getting pretty close to the height needed.
Looks like I'll have to get my arse into gear, get some cash together and start gathering parts.

Re: Late Windsors- which is best for transplant?
Shaunp- Good point, I was thinking of using the scat rods as by the time you fit good rod bolts resizing etc to stock rods its probably going to be around the same price. Boof- i was definitely going to mock it all up before touching anything. My thinking was take the short block to a machine shop a...
