Whilst i don;t discount your success, but wtf would you wet a microfibre for? It ability to hold dirt is second only to a tack rag. You wet it, and it loses its ability to pick up dirt. I use a wet micro fibre mitten and wipe off with a hand towel. Have been using this method for years and don't get any scratches.

Once again you missed what I said. Read the sentence before. It has a 6 cyl coupe VIN, so the original car must have been fairly badly damaged to warrant that amount of work. Or they started with a coupe & built a fastback out of it. Either way, the rest of the car is fairly ordinary in it's fin...

A film of brake fluid stops belts screaming normally. Don't know if this works on toothed belts. But anyway ... don't put too much on as if it spins off onto the paint, it will damage it.
