Thanks for the welcome and information Borgche. Boof - I'll post a few picture of my 'twins' at some stage - 65 fastback and 66 coupe. Owned the coupe since 2000, fastback since 2015. Coupe went through a total rebuild in 2006-2007 and has done less than 1000 miles since.

I have followed this thread with interest. I have a May 65 GT fastback. The vehicle is good driver quality at the moment but I plan to totally rebuild it in a few years. When I was doing my 66 quarter vent windows I had a similar issue. I tried using the correct rubber and kerosene but after many attempts I just could not get it to work. As Nassi said, a messy job.
