Removed the alternator warning light and now it's overchargi

The previous owner installed a massive alternator warning light which I removed today. Now the alternator is overcharging - 16-18 volts. It's a Bosch 70 amp alternator which has a S and L terminal. I've run the S terminal direct to the battery with a new wire. As an aside, if I plug the L terminal i...

Re: Falcon speedo into a '70?

I meant just the speedo head, not the whole cluster.
US man wants $185US for a reco km/h unit so I was wondering if the Falcon one would fit into the original cluster.

Too mean to buy one off ebay and try it :(

Has anyone done or tried putting something like an XB Falcon speedo into a 1970 cluster?

Complete Holley sniper installation

Today I finished installing a Sniper system and I am impressed with it. Although my base line setup is junk - std 302 2bbl/c4/3.00 axle - there is a noticeable improvement in power and response. So, here's the way it panned out. I bought the base system and decided I'd go for the EFI tank from Holle...

Re: Project Brandy

If you are using AN fittings you can't get -8 into the tank fittings. Biggest is -6 unless you doctor the fitting or the pump top.

Insertion rubber. Basically flat rubber matting of various thickness. Google it and you'll find lots of places sell it; Bunnings, Clarke rubber

Re: holley sniper instal

The Holley Sniper tank Hybrid linked to is a Tanks Inc tank, just in a different box.
I looked at the fuel sender/pump set up after I bought the tank. Possibly a neater solution.

I might do the false floor thing 123 as the wiring for the sender is just totally exposed

Re: holley sniper instal

https://i.postimg.cc/L6vH6rqs/IMG-0603.jpg This is the Holley Sniper tank unit. It's made by Tanks, Inc. but sold as a Holley item. I got inspired by your post to put it all together yesterday and the top fittings are a bit of a worry. For neatness I think I'd prefer the fittings under the tank. An...

C4 oil pan gasket. What's early, what's late?

How do I tell what C4 I have? All I know at this point is it's a case fill.

It's not original to the car and is supposedly a year or two later so that makes it circa 1972.

I need to replace the oil pan gasket ans not sure what the difference is.
