Apparently the importer of the diaphragm rubber is in Adelaide.

AA is no good for vinyl dash! Once you use it you must keep using it and never let the dash go dry or it will crack straight away. Not to mention the fact that it's a dust collector. It used to be petroleum based...think it's changed now, but I'm not willing to risk it. I used it as a kid on all typ...

Driveshaft. Check to see if it's the tube-in-tube type that has the rubber in between. It could be toast. Rubber is there to stop resonance.
