Re: Downtime and server migration
Happy to offer some kind of financial assistance in the interim. I guess you're at that point in life where a hobby/pastime becomes more than just a hobby. Sooner or later it had to happen. I wouldn't think you would have too much trouble finding support but a constant stream of income to help fund ...

Re: 68 Driveshaft Detailing
I also found these guys that make 'correct' driveshafts. They say paint lines are added based on build sheet data they have collected.

Re: 68 Driveshaft Detailing
Hi Mert. Looking at your second link the colours look like what I have discovered. Considering the age and weathering, I would say red, dark blue, light blue. Your also right about the 4th line - probably white. I found this information as well. It applies to 68 Shelbys. Would the shaft have been ch...

Re: 68 Driveshaft Detailing
I've seen photos of original driveshafts with washer weights AND the rectangle ones.
Was that factory specific or service item?

Re: 68 Driveshaft Detailing
Yes I read that in another forum as well. 4spd is longer than an auto one.
The correct part number should be C7ZZ-4602-D.
Tried cleaning the old one but haven't been able to find paint strips. I'll give the steel wool a shot though.

68 Driveshaft Detailing
I'm getting a new driveshaft made as the original one had vibration issues. The old tube-in-tube type are not good at lasting 45 years. :( (BTW Ford used the rubber dampered type exactly for this reason but the problem is that the rubber didn't last. The constant twisting force of the driveshaft und...

Re: Guess who...it's Q!
That looks too hot to me. Mine is a 390 and the temp always hangs just above the beginning of the curve in normal driving around Sydney. On hot days and in traffic it gets just above half way but as soon as I bring the revs up it drops quickly. I'm no expert at all but my 5 bobs worth is that it is ...

Re: Wheel Alignment - Parramatta/Hills Area NSW
I know it's not local for you but I strongly recommend Heasmans Steering in Sydenham. They are second to none when it comes to steering and suspension.
Ring and book because they are always busy.
They definitely know their stuff.

Re: Sound proofing
I was thinking along the same lines. Long trips, more comfort with a nice quiet cabin to enjoy the sound of the engine.
Never got around to doing it and then something miraculous happened!

Re: Importing the ellusive Shelby AC cobra titled as a 65
Yeah Matty make sure you do your homework. I know of a Cobra here in Sydney that was being sold as a '1965 ORIGINAL WITH ALL PAPERS TEXAS INC LHD CSX4048 SILVER WITH BLACK STRIPES NSW REGISTRATION!' Guy was asking over $500,000 but it wasn't worth $50-55K. Turned out to be built in 1997 and sold thr...
