Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

Hi Guys, Thought I would touch base with an update. Nothing good to say unfortunately. The fraud is apparently being investigated, so will need to wait for the outcome. We asked the dealer not to sell the car until we got some clarity on what happened, but they ignored us and re-listed as a buy-now ...

Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

I agree. I sent you an email hybrid. Not great news. Looks like they still think I have been the target of a phishing attack. Or at least that is what they are saying. So either they are lying about their knowledge of events OR they really have not reviewed their systems at all. Hope they changed th...

Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

Hi guys, I sent a email - very polite - that my lawyer reviewed. Essentially asking them to forward me these emails they apparently sent with the accurate account details (the one I never received). Essentially asking them to provide evidence they sent me the right payment information and the dealer...

Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

Wow. Just logged in and noticed the comments of support. I'll be candid - the last 6 days have been pretty dark one's for me and the wife. As for Hybrids assistance - what can I say? Has provided clarity where there was none, that alone has helped me emotionally - can't thank you enough mate. I am a...

Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

Hi Guys, Hybrid has been bloody awesome - really knows his stuff. There is a remote chance we can make the dealer accountable, but I have spoken with some people - could be a struggle. According to Hybrid, it does look like the email server of the dealership was compromised. He believes someone like...

Re: Think I have a problem........not good....

Money is gone - no question of that at this point. Have requested a reversal, but once it is in an account - totally up to the other people to accept reversal request. So think I've done my savings. Would have gone into the dodgy account last week. So yeah....bye bye. I have PM'ed hybrid for an emai...

Think I have a problem........not good....

I have a situation with a OS purchase.... Ok....so....it's a little complicated...but here we go: I found a car in usa. Did my homework. I investigated the dealership car is at (on consignment I think). I spoke to a local mustang club in the area that the dealer sponsors - got good feedback. They se...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Here is the marti report.

Is different colour to what it left the factory in.....I am ok with that though.

I'll update on engineer stuff when I know more.

Cheers.

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Thanks guys. Yeah - I am pretty happy (so far). Obviously a little worried at the same time - thinking I might have missed something on it. I hate that I did not see it in person. Bit of a gamble, but did all I could to ensure it is solid. Never bought a car before without looking at it in the flesh...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Hi Cage, Yeah - fair point. The inspection service I used in Arizona posted some photos (as well as the basic inspection report) online. It can be found here: http://phoenixcarinspection.com/1967-ford-mustang-gta/ She is not perfect by any means, rear engine seal is leaking a little and there is som...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

I could not agree with you more. I did sense the political commentary was poking a little fun. That is a real shame the other site has let things go that far. I can appreciate commercial concerns (and likely there is more to the story), but yeah - I think that unfortunately their actions over the lo...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Thanks for the tip.

Another member had previously advised me there was some unfortunate politics between the two mustang sites. Can't escape politics anywhere nowadays I suppose, but I'm grateful that information on this forum still flows freely.

My thanks : )

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Yeah - I think the rules were updated over last couple of years. Pretty recent. Other forum guys are talking about "adjustable" coilovers being a big "no no" now with the RTA/Vicroads. Maybe an engineer can over-ride that as you guys say, but I was getting the impression that may...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Hi All, Thought I would revive my thread. As an update.... I took the advice of those more experienced here and made sure I applied for import approval BEFORE acquiring the modified car. So I applied for import approval for the 1967 Mustang Fastback GTA S-Code I was looking at in the USA. I provided...

Re: Total Control Products...ADR approved?

Hi all, Thought I would provide an update.... So...decided to roll the dice and apply for a import approval. Cost $50, but I thought it worthwhile - simply as an exercise to see what would be acceptable for import approval. I sent them pictures and all the relevant web links for the PDF tech specs f...
