Brake light switch '65 '66
Brake light switch from a '66 Mustang can be replaced with one from an EL, EF Falcon. The only difference is the terminal connections with the Mustang terminals on 45deg & the Falcon are inline. Just remove the spade terminals from their plastic casing & push fit to new switch. Switch is around $10 from most parts stores.

XR-XT Falcon ones are the same as Mustang except terminals are on the opposite side, and are also alot more expensive

I think I actually just bought one from repco or supercheap or something.
Was probably a falcon one.
I did the same and just used regular spade connectors on it.

While they fit and work, just watchout for any sensitivity issues. Ford varied the spring rate in the switch so there were different switches for assisted and unassisted.
eg 65 (with alt)-66 and 67-70 unassisted use the same.
67-68 assisted drum is different
67-68 assisted disc is different again.

They should include a new switch in disc brakes conversion kits.
Not leave u to figure it out on ur own .
