Temp specs on Shelby bonnet from Mustang Auto Parts

Post by lukep6470 »

Hi,

My panelbeater is preparing the car for paint and wants to know the specs of the repro Shelby bonnet. Specifically either the TG or HDT values for the composite materials. I haven't seen anything online about this.

Has anyone used one of these and know these specs? It is a Dynacorn 3641U

Do not high bake it in the booth as I would guess it is a hand laid product out of Taiwan.

SMC & steel have differing expansion rates & would cause issues under high heat.

Yep they're worried about baking it as they just had a CF panel melt like a cheese toastie at 80!!

Insurance covering this work or is this extra? Sounds good all the same.
How is the engine going? (I guess not to many miles due to the visit to the panel beaters).
I will someday think of something clever to say.

This bit is extra. The engine is yet to put tyre to tarmac!
