yep so does the 2k epoxy just not as quick, it starts to rust under the etch, whizz them back to steel etch them, bog over that then hi build them, I'm not a fan of poly spray bog, I rather wipe them another time block them and reprime.

Re: My 68
Good progress nice to get to the painting stage. Can't see too clearly from the pic, but I think your calliper's are round the wrong way.
Re: My 68
If you are referring to the orientation of the bleed nipple I think the calipers are on the correct sides. Originally I had fitted them on the wrong sides. Only by reviewing my dis-assembly pics did I realise my mistake when I switched them around, the brake hoses seemed to lay better. Anyway you have sown the seeds of doubt now. So could I throw the question out there, have I got it right or not?unilec5544 wrote:Good progress nice to get to the painting stage. It is correct, the bleeder should be horizontal as then the hole is to the top of the piston allowing all air to be bled out.
If it was vertical, the hole would enter the piston about half way down, therefore not allowing the air in the top to escape.

Re: My 68
Ok at long last its painted it was going to be red but I decided against it because everything around me at work is red Besides I like Blue. this is the only picture I have right now but will post more in due course.
now for a couple of questions to the learned ones out there.
First up is there an easy way to install the boot lid torsion bars (the boot lid is fitted)
Secondly does anyone have a picture with the fire wall viewed from the engine bay showing what comes though what hole in fact an engine bay pic minus engine would be very helpful.
Cheers

Well done Steve. Can't help you with a useful firewall pic labelled although I'm sure it was Kerry who posted one some time back. Maybe in the tech section....
BTW... That colour looks a little familiar

Re: My 68
This was a really interesting thread until you made that remark our Red. Everything at work is Red because it is the best colour; there is reason to their action.

You Beauty Hybrid that was just what I was looking for Thank you kindly for that. Yes Mike the colour is similar too yours maybe a little darker but it is Acapulco blue. As for red cars Jacko there's nothing wrong with red at all
