Update, installed the water bottle for the windscreen washers today and ran the wires and hose through the car, another job semi done for rego. Just need to mount the front squirters now and wire up a trigger.

Had a good chat to Simon today re the trans cooler. Came up with a couple of options including the one Kerry and I spoke about. Eventually ditched them all and got a flat trans cooler to mount to the front of the radiator. Heaps of room and super easy. Just need to run a couple of soft lines from the front connectors to the new trans cooler and done.

Boof, Kerry and I spoke about a shroud but decided that what I have at the moment will be fine. The fan has a small shroud around it already but will get it on the road then if I need it we will build one.

Didn't think about the spotties blocking the air flow. I guess we will see how it effects the temp when I take it for a decent drive. It is a big arse radiator so hopefully it will be OK.

The engineer had a look about 12 months ago and started what he could so hopefully it won't take to long to finish it. Still need to finish some wiring etc though to make sure everything works so that should be early Jan then engineering. Expect the flight details Feb/Mar Boof.

No problem. I have reserved the funds so I am ready to pull the trigger. You have a plan which is half the battle.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

Your sig means your project is interesting because you just do not know which way it will end up - even if it appears obvious. The way it should be....

So is it done yet? Talk of EFI and AOD must mean it is engineered and rego'd.

No mate, spending some quality time with the family so I have not touched it to be honest. Did buy all the audio gear for later but that is it. Everything from this point on Boof will be about getting it rego'd. It is time mate.

Spending time with Family is fer more important. Enjoy them time, make the most of it. The car will get done and you will have it to enjoy and play with when you feel like it.

WRT the trans cooler. Are you running a lockup converter in the AOD?

I'm asking as I have an AOD as well with a 2800 stall lockup converter and with a stock in-radiator cooler my trans runs so cool I can hold my hand on the pan after a highway run.

Running the C4 at the moment Luke. The AOD is for another day so can't help you with that question sorry.

Sorry Lee just saw your post. See below list of gear

Amp: JL Audio HD900/5 - 5 channel to run the lot.
Subwoofer: Kicker enclosed box same as yours. Heard it in the shop and sounded great for what I want.
Front speakers: Focal PS165V 6.5" split
Rear speakers: Focal PC165 6.5"
Head unit: Pioneer, can't remember the part number but Bluetooth, phone etc.

Will wait till the car is on the road before installing. Concentrating on rego only.

That seems strange. The oil should really be the same temp as the water if it's going through the radiator.

Think I may have finally worked out the console. I can now fill in the hole for the handbrake along the curved part I just created and run the standard boot that came with it in the normal position, which you can see from the cut off at the top of the original console centre. Not finalised but am feeling good about it so far.

Forgive me for not going back 171 pages but whats this console out of or have u started from scratch ?
Is the bottom contoured to fit the tunnel ?
Does it sit well ?
Been thinking about making a custom console.
I smell oranges !
