i have developed a large power draw from my battery any ideas my oil pressure gauge stopped working and comes on and off when it likes un plugged it and the alt wire and no joy 😠

How large are we talking?
Do you have an alarm on it?

Interior light? Boot light? Glove box light?

with the battery dis connected multi met red to lead black to batt + 10 v but getting no amps draw maybe doing something wrong

Putting the meter between lead and battery is for measuring amps.
If it's 10A you mean rather than 10V, that's a lot of current.

set on the .10a black setting im getting 0.43 on my meter 0.00 if its set in the tallow amp mode

if you pull the fuses out one by one and check for current draw each time to single out what circuit has the problem

Did you take any tips from me re the wiring- that could explain a lot.

ok seems I have a draw in my alt wire I disconnect my alt wire off the back and draw goes to 0 - .01 with it connected it goes to 0.43
I have an internal reg both wires come out to the charge pole and a large wire in to the system

found the issue had the faulty plug replaced on the loom somehow the two wires on the back of the alt (it is a regulated 80 amp ) with a black wire and a red wire these have been linked together and put on the charging pole one of these need to go to the ignition I think doe anyone know which one red or black
