Re: Project 'Patience' the 64.5 Fastback
Hi Gallop welcome to the Forum. Yeah Kerry's work is something else. The replacement panel is made by dynacorn and called a trunk divider package tray or bridge panel I had Harrys Classics bring it in it for me

Re: Project 'Patience' the 64.5 Fastback
Thanks for the welcome and information Borgche. Boof - I'll post a few picture of my 'twins' at some stage - 65 fastback and 66 coupe. Owned the coupe since 2000, fastback since 2015. Coupe went through a total rebuild in 2006-2007 and has done less than 1000 miles since.
Re: Project 'Patience' the 64.5 Fastback
Excellent - I like twins.....
I will someday think of something clever to say.
Re: Project 'Patience' the 64.5 Fastback
Final test fitting & trimming of the RH quarter panel was completed today.
I had, for the last week or so, been busy showing a Californian friend of ours around the Southern Highlands & Wollongong areas (as well as Duggo
). That had followed soon after Steve's (soc123_au) & my trip to Manila
Soooo, back to Patience ....... after test fitting the quarter (that was weeks ago), I now marked the wheel arch lip & trimmed it to 3/8" (10mm). This done so I can form the lip the same as a door skin is attached to the inner door shell. The lip of the outer wheel arch had already been removed before blasting. This @ a couple of other mods allow the tyre to sit close to the edge of the wheel arch without rubbing ......

![Image](http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww284/Downresto/65%20Mustang%20fastback%20Borgche/DSCN3351_zpskysczwyh.jpg~original)
Then fitted the quarter back on the shell & formed all the gaps before drilling & self tapping screwed into place. It is now almost ready for gluing (& a bit of welding ......
)

I don't think this car will recognise itself.

Yes, very nice work. Not many cars will receive that degree of attention.Ausjacko wrote:I don't think this car will recognise itself.

Door gap fair, but not brilliant, due to it being a repo door shell. I will alter that when the quarter is glued in place .......

Re: Project 'Patience' the 64.5 Fastback
Yep, Kerry that's why your working on my car.
Well my project is looking like a car again even if the quarters are just vice gripped on at this stage.
PS I'd offer to buy new doors again ( I think this would be the 3rd time) but I'd only get told they'd be no better than these ones.
