Can't Find Caulking Strip!

Post by 66RavenGTCoupe »

Hi Guys,
Im after the black caulking strip that comes on a roll that goes between the fuel tank and the body and the inner and outer fenders. Just can't seem to find it anywhere. Just want to know what is it actually called and where I may be able to get some please?
Thanks,
Dan.

I just used weatherstip from bunnings for the fuel tank seal. They have a large variety there with adhesive on one side.

Thanks hybrid but I'd like to use the caulking strip to replicate a factory fit.

Not an easy thing to find I have just bought a roll from a caravan parts supplier, like this one. I have just put my tank in and you cannot see the colour.

plus one for the caravan suppliers, that is where I bought mine. Use linseed oil to make it malleable.

Thanks Guys. We have heaps of caravan manufacturers in the north-west here in Vic. I'll try there.

I found them extremely helpful as well when I needed the setting tape for my front windows. Also gave me step by step instructions on how to install it and got straight back to my email questions so would happily recommend them to all the members for seals etc.

I hope they are successful as it is almost a novelty now for people to provide some sort of customer service. And thanks for the tip about them originally.
