Ok so I just renewed my insurance so thought I would add it here for comparison. I am with LSV and it feels like they are starting to rise in price.
$60k insured, recreation use which means 3 times a week, windscreen and salvage rights. $765
Any comparisons?

Re: LSV - discount for Mustangtech members
Mine is $532 for 35k
- "performance enhancing modifications"
- Salvage rights
- Windscreen
- Lifetime no claim bonus
Interestingly, I just read that my special conditions mention that insurance for theft is subject to an LSV approved GPS tracking system being fitted.
Perhaps I should contact them to make sure Mustrack is "LSV approved".

Mine says this vehicle has no security features fitted. Forgot that it does now. Should have meantioned it and it may have been lower.
So with yours does that mean if it gets stolen they may not pay if you don't have a tracking system fitting?

Yes... considering it's specified in the special conditions. Insurance companies will use anything they can to get out of claims as we all know.
I did tell them it had a tracker fitted and thought it was forgotten about, but maybe not.
I thought they would have mentioned it in the "features" of the car, but maybe they only mention it in those conditions.
It will be interesting to see if your price comes down. It's a good case study that you went in without it first.

Yeah, maybe it is better not to tell them then. I will leave it as is for now.
You won't replace your beast for $35k mate, may be worth upping that.

It seems that it doesn't work the same in different regions. I've heard good and bad about all of them. It definitely pays to ring around and get quotes for each car.cage wrote:I had the same experience but the other way around. LSV so far have been brilliant for me where Shannons was an absolute debacle
After ringing the big 3 for quotes, I have my Torana with LSV and Mustang with Ryno. It was the cheapest way to go about it even when I got quoted for bundling them.
