All good Bryan at Exhaust innovations who is making the headers is just going to swage the ends of the pipes a bit in his machine so they fit tight in the mufflers
Re: Project Lime A code.
Earl Gillcrest from Autotechnica came by and engineered the 67 for brake swap (LG2 code) and RHD (LS2 code. 1 step closer

Re: Project Lime A code.
Nice to have that all ticked off.
Re: Project Lime A code.
Pulley line up head fuck, pretty close now, not sure if the water pump or Romac balancer was the issue, it looked like it needed 1/8" spacer on the crank, but I found one out of a about 20 water pump pulleys was just a little short so I cut the centre out of another one on the lathe and packed it off the pump, its all pretty close now.
Re: Project Lime A code.
Had the same issue - was fine until it revved over 5k, then the belts flipped. Lots of faffing about to get it right.
Re: Project Lime A code.
What happened to the ITB's?
Re: Project Lime A code.
Just want it going in the first instance, and car sorted ,AC, handling etc, given its a nut & bolt rebuild from a shell. Once its all good I'l fit the ITBs then get that sorted, then I'l swap to the 363 Dart engine which should only need a small remap.lukep6470 wrote:What happened to the ITB's?
Re: Project Lime A code.
Yep when you swap to the 363 a few auto tune runs should sort it unless you want to change the timing curve.
Re: Project Lime A code.
I'd say it will be a fair bit out personally. Depends on the cam though. It will be lean is my guess.
Re: Project Lime A code.
Update req fuel for the new engine size and it "should" be driveable for auto tune to tweak the rest.
Re: Project Lime A code.
Yes I tend to agree, the cam has 20 deg more duration, 1/2 a point extra compression not mention the extra capacity. Ian Woodward reckoned wouldn't be too far wrong, other than timing and like move the entire amp a few %hybrid wrote:I'd say it will be a fair bit out personally. Depends on the cam though. Re: Project Lime A code.
My mate just stroked his Holden 5L and it was far enough out to have the extractors glowing red and setting fire to sound deadening. And that was after changing the required fuel in the ECU for the bigger cubes.
So yeah just be careful before you assume auto-tune can do the job on its own.
Better to start off rich and let auto-tune take some fuel out.

Re: Project Lime A code.
So you have a spare 347 lying around just to play with?
