Sand blasted my pulley. Hopefully it gives a bit more belt grip. I've also ordered a new belt. Same size, but heavy duty (green) as opposed to the standard gates red belt.
There's also a higher (and more expensive) option, the gates RPM belts, but they are 3 times the price so I will try this one first.
I can also now turn the engine over using the supercharger bolt. I don't think I could do that previously.

If it still slips now you have bigger problems and belt colour won't help
That looks so grippy I would expect the belt to tear up before slipping now!!

I've never liked toothed belts because I always associate them with roots blowers (which I have never liked poking out of bonnets), or gilmer drives which I never liked because if you have that whine, it better be a blower.

It's been a while since I did an update here. Probably because not too much has been going on.
I put some Varex mufflers on the car - highly recommend.
The AOD saga wasn't over either, so I decided to throw some money at it. Sat in the waiting list for a Lentech valvebody.
Basically, this thing solved all my issues. Highly recommend these for an AOD.
I think there's an issue with my silverfox one. I'm probably going to reach out to them at some stage and send it back to be looked at.
I'd love to get it sorted and then sell it on as I really don't need two now.
It's a shame that boofhead is no longer with us because he would love the next update. I've decided to "upgrade" my cam. Sent through all my specs to Crow and they came back with a recommendation - quite a bit bigger than I would have chosen myself, but then I'm not an expert. Very much looking forward to hearing it afterwards, but I have to convince myself to commit to the job first.
It's a custom grind and with 238/244 @ 0.050 is going to be pretty agressive.

That is big. 351? I'm running a 231/239 Voodoo Hydraulic in my 351 stroker which NA is around 470-500hp.

Well the cam is in - big job in my car with the blower etc. 3 days of "fun" pretty much.
It needed a fair amount of tuning the EFI down low because this cam is so much less efficient at cruise, so I had to take 10%-15% fuel out, though not before I fouled the plugs on my first drive
I was worried that this would be too aggressive when you look at the specs, but I actually think Crow did a very good job of speccing up the cam. I did send them everything about my setup.
At some stage I'll get it back on the dyno to dial it in up top - particularly in my second fuel and ignition tables when the methanol kicks in.
Video of it idling below. It's idling at 950rpm now rather than 850.
I will probably put my old cam on marketplace soon, but if anyone is interested in it, let me know. For a 302 or 289 it would be a nice cam, but it's a roller. So you'd need to already be roller, or buy some link bar lifters to go with it. It's a COMP 35-440-8 (220/220 @ 0.050", 0.512" lift) and it's only done around 10k kms.

This is what mine sounded like idling with the new motor - 351 stroker V8 with 231/239 cam & 10:1 compression ratio
