Im going to Hawaii in may and want to pick up a efi system while over there , is there a place in Waikiki i can buy a itech or holley system.
time for me is limited as well .
2nd question is if i bring it home in my luggage do i have to pay import duties if i declaee it as a gift

Anything under $900 AUD does not need declaring. Regardless of gift or not if you go over that you'll pay GST and duty on the purchase price
Make sure it has on it Made in USA. We have a free trade agreement with US that states anything under $2,500 USD does not attract duty.

If you're not in a hurry I bought a Sniper on ebay off VPW during one of their 20% off deals and cost me less than buying it direct in USA.

You might have to order in advance if the price is worthwhile but they will match Summit et al.
The other option is just order and have delivered to your hotel direct from Summit.
