temp sender

i have a spare port into my water pump which has a screw in bung, can i put a temp sender into it as when i go efi i still want to run my oem one as well and i need a port into the engine for the efi temp swich

You can. It won't be true engine temp though.

Didn't think of that it's reading water coming in not out all good I have a later thermo neck with a sender port in it

I tapped in two extra senders, one next to the factory one for an aftermarket gauge and now an extra one for the Davies Craig controller just behind the thermostat in the intake manifold.
