And I finally chose some wheels. Probably a while before they will get wrapped in rubber but I felt the need to buy them now.
Transam race engineering were good to deal with and did custom backspace on rear of 5.5”. Fronts are 4.5”

I like the wheels.
That’s a fair bit of stripper to get there. The guard is almost mint except for those couple of small patches. Once it was stripped it was just about perfect - at worse a couple of 5mm dents and no previous repairs.
Next step is getting rid of that underbody coating which is not fun at all.

Warm the outside metal with a heat gun and the sound deadening will scrape off. Careful not to heat the metal too much.
Also be aware there is a high percentage of asbestos in that sound deadener.
Thanks Kerry. It’s scrapping off with a chisel mostly tonight.
Whats your thoughts on those dodgy repairs, cut our and replace or just grind beat and bog?

17*8 & 17*9.5
Pic is of a rear.
Damn nice wheels. Handy sizes too. Wish I could have ordered custom backspacing with my TT-D's...
Thoughts on best ways to repair the hood hinge bolt holes? It’s just the two top ones the rest are good.
The top nuts on mine on both sides has elongated so the hood stays up at the back and you have tp push it down - essentially the captive not slides.
A little tapping with a hammer may help but the metal will be weaken so weld them in place or put a plate around and weld it all together?
Aggghhh two weeks in Sydney on a course doing damn assignments so what do you do....buy Mustang parts.
Robbie Mac 550hp fuel pump, 1/2” fuel sender and a filter....the power of boredom - haven’t even spec’d the motor beyond being a 408c and a bit of a cam (so thinking over 450hp).
I need to spend more time at home and less away at work - its costing me a fortune and I’m making no progress
