The word "swims" upside-down is still "swims".

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
As the car is still just a shell, is it worth adding the 1 piece seat platform over the tunnel for some extra strength across the car? Not thinking of replacing the whole platforms, just welding in the tunnel section.
I already have torque boxes and subframe connectors.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
It will help with the rigidity of the seats, especially if you were going to run aftermarket or Falcon seats.
That was a Trans Am mod back in the late 60's.
Dynacon shells have it too.

I tried to do it with mine, but the bastards sent normal risers even though I paid for the convertible setup
Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
It would have been too narrow as the convertibles had inner rockers. I am not sure if Dynacon make a full width one. It would be nice if they made one with the 69/70 Sportsroof seat risers as they are 1 1/2" lower than the hardtop seat risers from 64 1/2 through to 70.hybrid wrote:I tried to do it with mine, but the bastards sent normal risers even though I paid for the convertible setup

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
You can get one piece platforms for coupes and fb now, but not lowered ones. I'll have a look at the sports roof platforms if they'll fit.
Was considering just welding on the tunnel section to my existing platforms if it will still add the same strength.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Welding just the center will work if the platforms have already been installed.Dwayne wrote:You can get one piece platforms for coupes and fb now, but not lowered ones. I'll have a look at the sports roof platforms if they'll fit.
