Re: 67 FG Resto Mod
Hey guys, things have been bit slow up this way with all the travel restrictions. Managed to get back to the project finally. Been working on building this diff from scratch. 31 spline true trac 9" nodular case, with big bearing pinion support and centurion heavy duty housing. with 3.70 ratio gears. McDonald Brothers triangulated 4 link. photos to come

That's amazingly tight, you must have measured the hoist height well, it's awfully close.
The diff is great, very professionally made.

Thanks for the comments guys, There was a lot of research and jigs made to build and straighten the diff then fit to the car.
Ed the height of the hoist is around 100mm to 130mm from the bridging which runs directly over the uprights of the hoist, The hoist has a cut out microswitch on the top bar to stop the hoist, the actual height of the hoist is around 3680mm.
Hopefully my next post will be on the front end with the fg 322mm disc and brakes, Had everything set up and just had to fit new wheel studs, On pressing the last stud in I noticed a hairline crack, I'm now looking at getting some new hubs made, or make new stub axles, as the TCI front end has stainless stubs which look to be pressed in, I was thinking of getting AU to BF stubs made up to fit and using those wheel hubs, Can't do much at the moment as we are flooded in for now. cheers Roger
