They should sell like hotcakes.. look really good.
Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Thanks, trying to get the first set finished quickly as all the earthworks at home start next week. Then I have to start building all the retaining walls during any daylight hours

Agreed, buying trim that can be bolted staring in is always a bonushybrid wrote:They should sell like hotcakes.. look really good.

If you end up having a spare set of front buckets I'd love a pair to put blue covers to get rid of the bench in my car.Dwayne wrote:Picked up a couple of full sets of coupe seats last week, so started cleaning them and retrimming them to sell.
Forgot how much I hate doing the hogrings, but getting the hang of it again.
Six front buckets and 2 sets of rears to do.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Blast cabinet is now up and running nicely.
Once the storage/workshop area is enclosed I'm building an oven so I can powdercoat and cerakote at home. Going to make it big enough to fit rear seat frames, headers, exhausts and wheels.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Still can't get to my car under all of the bits unfortunately, but the workshop and backyard reno's are finally drawing to a close. The insulated roof and walls for the workshop are now in place, so I just need to build the doors over Easter so it's secure enough for me to move all my tools and parts out/off of my mustang.
I've got 40sqm total in there, 24sqm of floorspace, an 8m long concrete workbench (1st retaining wall) and 8m3 of storage (2nd retaining wall).

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
That looks sweet Dwayne, I love the way the seat base sits in, modern rear seat in an old car. Most rear seats are just foam.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Certainly does, will be interesting to see what the legroom & angle is like back there ... although I doubt many adults will be back there very often.
Currently trying to get quotes for more power into the workshop to run my compressor, extraction fan & a decent size oven etc. Looks like I'm going to need 3-phase power as we're also after a pool heat pump. It would be nice if a sparky actually turned up for a quote these days.

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Yeah that all fits quite well all things considered.
Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
3 phase is a must, especially if you want to run solar panels. I had solar panels installed in November of 2019 and have been in credit ever since. My costs were reimbursed in a little over 2 years (I expected 4 to 5 years to get that expense back)

Re: Project Lil Blue Coupe
Luckilythe sparky said we're set up for 80A coming in (upgraded boards etc when solar went on), but only using 50A for the house so he can run the spare 30A into a sub board in the garage for me. That's enough for the 15A compressor, dryer and vacuum or exhaust fan at the same time, or just the 21A oven to bake my Cerakoted parts.
