Help with sharing a mustang dvd????

Post by donoauto »

Hi guys & girls,
I've got a dvd that was created from transfering an old mustang (80's i think) & thunderbird VHS tape to dvd. I 've copied to my desktop (about 3.3Gb size) & I want to try & share it (with you guys!) somehow. When I open it , it contains a audio TS & video TS file. That's where I stop. Not sure how to even play the saved copy. Obviously , I don't get up to much video stuff on the PC. :Nerd: :bash:
(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

Do a search for some DVD software that can rip to DivX format.
Even after you do that, a full movie is going to be around 700mb... still big to share.

Hi donauto - like hybrid said - you needing conversion software for doing this.
I'm happy to convert this (for nothing of course) to multiple formats at different sizes - likely possible to create in smaller segments that can be shared easily anyway. Bounce me PM if you like :) I do this stuff quite a bit with work, so have the right software etc.

If you want to play it try opening the folder with your media player. You could download VLC media player and it should play it.

For sharing you would have to go pretty low quality and as others have said break it up to chapters. I use a free product called HandBrake for this.

It is amazing what can be found on YouTube, so do a search before anything else as someone else may have it there already.

cheers

JusTANG, I did a google on wlmp - there are a players/converters for it to download. Cant say I heard of that format myself.

Donoauto, you should be able to download a converter that will also reduce the quality to something you can upload to youtube. I know that the software that comes with the Mac does it - not sure about for the PC. Must be something.

Frank.

You may have to find a converter for it.
