Dont worry about your reation time as it is not included in your elapsed time.
Thats not a bad time for the old girl though.

Yeah, your time doesn't start until you break the lights, so your reaction time doesn't mean anything if you are just worrying about your own time.

Obviously a bad reaction time means your opposition gets away quicker in a race, so it's bad there, but doesn't matter at all for your own time.

When I ran the 12.1 in my escort, I sat there for a few seconds making sure I was ready and the turbo was spooled (waste of time anyway as it wheelspun all the way up to 4th). It meant the guy in the Ford Probe got a long way in front, but I still chased him down and left him looking silly at the end of the quarter

Who takes a Probe to the drags? :vomit: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Glad you put him in his place.
(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

yeah i think some new wider tyres would help and maybe deflating them like some of the other racers were doing. An LSD diff with some different gearing in the rears would also help i think. I've got the standard 2.8 gears in the rear end at the moment.

Thought the subject line meant this....

1955 (first ever NHRA national event) no sound..

From 1963, again no sound...
