Transporting dismantled cars interstate
I've been looking to restore a Mustang but some or most of the prospects I've seen are in the eastern states and in bits. Re-assembling a car like that suits me fine. could anyone advise me on how the best way to go about transporting a disassembled vehicle, the likely pitfalls and which transport companies could reliably handle this kind of transportation

hi steve, you should come over and see my shed.
i have a project that i have pulled apart, that you can see how much of a mess it makes. if you dont label things you just won't be able to get it back together.
Cheers

I used Openica in Dandenong, VIC, to get a non driving car from QLD to VIC, then on to Perth.
They forklift them on/off, and are quite reasonably priced.

Yes i'm looking for a 67/68, 289 coup but it needs to to be pretty much rust free as i'm not confident with sheet metal replacement. I guess in other words an easy restore.nassi wrote:Steve, there are a lot of local projects available are you looking for something specific?
