The control valve unit on my '70 mach 1 developed a leak and after consultation with Kerry on the other site I decided to take the unit to a P/S specialist who refurbished it for $180.
When he opened it up it had rust in the main body and was in a sad state, so I'm glad I gave it to someone with experience.
N.B. When you re-attach the bottom two hoses, make sure the reconnections are correct. If you cross them over, the steering will make a violent full lock turn when the engine is started.
