I am keeping it Chadd, I just wanted to get an approval just in case...I have a habbit of moving onto other projects...still have a 55 merc to do. Ive allready had 2 offers for it.
I wouldnt even know what it would be worth however Carol Shelby said it was "Very Cool" on the Shermatt America facebook page so its got his approval...thats gotta be worth something![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
nassi, I spoke with FORS a while back about the whole "Eleanor" importing and getting approval for them...they said its not up to them about modifications done to a car, if it meets a certain criteria, it is then approved by that department, then goes to the administrator for final consideration before the import approval is "approved"
It is then up to the state to determain if the modifications are roadworthy for that paticular state when it gets there
As far as I know, the ute would need to get an engineers certificate for the conversion only. The wheels, seats, 5 speed, fuel injection and fuel cell are really the only other non factory mods to the car. That throws SA out but leaves NSW, QLD, and VIC open but with some changes to the car.
Not sure what the deal is with WA and ACT for 5 speeds, fuel cells and fuel injection for registration

If this thing got through, I think the import approval process might be a little relaxed at the moment:nassi wrote:Matt do you think you will even get import approval?

Thanks Matt, thats good news. In WA I dont think it would be much of a problem. Maybe expensive meeting all the rquirements but not impossible.
cheers mate
