Photobucket issues

Post by gbx78 »

Hey guys

wasnt sure where to post this, i got a reply from the support team at photobucket.. seems to be an issue:

-
-----------------------------------------
Hey there,

We're looking into an issue that seems to be only affecting our users based in Australia. We're gathering information and trying to figure out what is causing the problem. I'm super sorry you've been having issues and I don't doubt it's been a huge pain in the rear. I promise were working hard to restore your service, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

We've written a small program that traces the route data takes to get from you to us and back so we can track down what's going on with our Australian users. Would you mind saving the attached file, running it, and sending back the text file it generates? We would greatly appreciate it and it would help us return your service to the quality you expect.

Please let the program run until it notifies you to send back the text file it generates.

Thanks lots!

---------------

the program is just a little script that does a tracert to both their primary and beta websites

Sounds like you are onto the fix George. Good job.

BTW, I had issues in China, but none here in the USA, so maybe once it goes "off shore" it becomes the issue

yeah i dare say its an issue external to the US where they are based.. but at least they are looking into it and its obviously a global issue not just 1 or 2 people.

:D An IT guy who knows what the script does .. the script just pings their primary and beta servers for response times and a tracert to each to see what response times are between each hop and particularly from the last aussie hop to the next and pipe it to a txt file
