Local Canberra engine tuning services ? dyno facility
As the plan progresses toward the Muster, I ahve done the braks(a big thanks to Nuts) I will sort the transmission leaks and then finally have the car tuned. The question is should I get the pony run on a dyno or given he is a stock motor then maybe just plugs leads and timing. I'm open to suggestions and advice.
Cheers.

Re: Local Canberra engine tuning services ? dyno facility
I would get it tuned on the dyno; I had my old coupe tuned by dynotune in belconnen, and they got it running at it's best;
I have had it "tuned" by a couple of other workshops, one with dyno facilities, but the results were no where near as good as what dynotune achieved. more power, better economy, smoother, more driveable, easier starting...

The two im currently eyeballing are a 2004 ba xt with factory lpg and 170k on the clock for 12g drive away or a 2005 Mazda 6 with 145k for 11g (hopefully drive away as well).

Haha, no big story - just one bad experience after another. It was back when i had the gtr and autotech was owned by Peter dowling, the father of a school friend. He new his stuff and was honest. However he retired and handed the reigns over to a guy called Ed who used to own integra motorsport - a guy who has a pretty bad reputation in the rice burner community. Anyway, all this knowledge was subsequent to my experiences with them. Fortunately i worked at bunnings with a guy who worked at autotech as well, who alerted me to their dodgy dealings. I think his exact words were "they rip off young blokes wherever they can" - not a good sign for me since i was young and a bloke.
They just had a habit of taking on more work then they could handle, which generally meant surrendering the car for up to and over a week at a time, only to find that they'd never actually fix anything and charge me a fortune for it. Took them 3 goes to find that a ball joint needing replacing, and they never seemed to be able to properly tune the computer they installed. In summary, they're useless and will charge you a fortune for the time they waste.

OK, so it's looking like Belco at this stage.
Cheers.
