Why the need to have a white sheet/blanket on the floor? Keep warm maybe.
Re: Re: Now for something completely different. Mark's "Hulk"
Repainted that section of floor. Turned out I had a different colour ....65muzzy wrote:Why the need to have a white sheet/blanket on the floor? Keep warm maybe.
I have another 2 X 10 liter cans of paint, so it will be "interesting" top see what colour is in them. If the same as the old floor, then I will be moving that equipment again .....

Don't discourage him Moe, if he keeps it he'll want us to reveal where we hid all the Cuda parts!!! :rotfl:moe wrote:Why sell? is there more metal in 50 cents than the 'cuda??C5ZZHIPO wrote:Better stop the work on the 'cuda. Re: Now for something completely different. Mark's "Hulk"
I know, I know, I have been slack
So here is a little update on Kermit ......
Trunk floor extensions had the fittings attached .....
Floor edges cleaned up .....
Trunk floor cut away, however then I found an issue (revealed later in this post) .....
Floor edges ground up & inner rocker replaced after RH rocker repaired .....
Then the fun began getting the floor in the car (bloody heavy & doing it alone .... ) .....
It was then I discovered that the bloody floor would not fit .....
Car measured square, however not having data sheets, it was not discovered, until the floor went in, that the rear had been hit square & both rear rails were forward around 30mm as a unit. Only slight deformation in the rails, nothing like what would be expected with such a huge measurement difference, these cars must have very weak floors This stops the main floor going in. So now I need to pull the rails as a unit until the floor drops in. No big deal, but frustrating .....
Also have been attacking the LH roof & rear pillar sections .....
Repair pieces have been made up & now it is an assembly process. Had to remove the tops of the rear quarter panels to allow the repair to be carried out. It also helps to have those sections off as I can now make the rear caps on a bench & the sections can be blasted off the car .....

Thats pretty typical................. most people I know that have owned a Mopar end up kicking it up the arse. But that must have been one hell of a kick.
