It has been a long time since visits, or any work done on the Mustang.
I decided I 'needed' an XR8 ute...

Goes very well, still have a few things I want to do to it, but I'm keen as mustard for the Mustang.

We attacked the back. Tore it all off, placed everything up for a look.

I'm eager to get it done (yes, like everyone here) I want it done for my sisters graduation next year.

Good to see your eager to get back to it.

It will happen Scott. I have to get it done!!! I finish uni 10 months after her graduation, so I've also planned to drive there in the Mustang to submit my final placement completion forms.

I'll start spending an hour or two of an afternoon on it, scuffing the inner floor for paint, seat belt mounts, prepping bolt on parts.... It all adds up in the end.

Sounds like my first project....an EJ holden.

The day I painted it, a mate rolled up with some jimmy, and we drank that watching the paint dry and polishing the grille bars.

We only got 5 done for the night, but it was forward progress :fap:

So, I thought it was time for an update (and some work to be done on it).
Excuse the bad photography and dusty car.

All the rear end has been welded up, ready for cleanup and bogging now.

I have decided I'll do the front seat belts with drop links, like they do in NSW.
I know 3 points are not required anymore with LO8 but I'd rather them.

Bottom seatbelt mount is done as far back as possible in the sill

Will send the car out to have the dash, inside and under boot floor and the welds sandblasted and then will hit it with DuPont Wash Primer. Then we can get into the bogging, after cleaning the roof up by hand, naturally.
