Hi everyone,

Its been a few weeks since I've logged in but I haven't been idle.
Been out in the garage sanding & painting the interior rear panels, 99% done. Only have the trap door to finish before moving onto the rear seat belt installation. Hoping next weekend for those.

I've updated the photobucket link at the top of the page.

Been juggling Mustang & of course the love of my life..Izabella.
Her youngest one is having his first communion in 3 weeks & we have been arranging the after party. Then in Sept we head to Bali for a week, looking forward to the break away from everything.

I'll try not to be a stranger as much as I have been... Hope your all well.
Chat soon.

Thurs 11th was my divorce hearing, now just need to wait 28 days and I will have the paperwork to prove it's done & dusted!

Fastback is on ramps with its arse pointing upwards, will be fitting the seat belts Saturday morning.
Learoy66 is popping over as he has couple tasks he's not exactly sure about on Thirsty's old 67 Fastback.

Then back into the Red rocket to start masking the front windows so I can do the interior doors.

Starting to take shape with tasks completed to date.

Hi guy's,

I know someone out here will be able to advise - What's best for removing the left-over glue on the doors when replacing the door rubbers...

I guess good old elbow grease for one but also don't want to remove any paint!

Manager to remove the drivers side window felt without scratching the door lip...huge bonus.

Cheers, Doc..

Prepsol & some rubbing will do it, if real old, a rubber wheel on the drill (used for removing stripes & urethane). Get them from a good auto shop.

Thanks K

I thought Prepsol might be the go, but easier to check with you guy's first.
Slowly moving forward, removed the steering wheel to find that it has 2 large cracks leading to the boss..Not happy!

Suppose these are the suprises with 40yr+ toys!

I would estimate a good percentage of us have cracks in the same spot. Seen it on many cars. Sounds like it coming along nicely Geoff . I miss driving my mustangs

Post some pictures if you can.

Hi all,

Well, after another visit down to see "Dad", I ended up back in the garage preparing & masking the drivers door.
For someone who isn't a spray painter, I must say I'm quiet proud of my efforts. :joy:

Couple extra photo's of my efforts.

Andrew, I haven't forgotten about the trap door, its in undercoat but I haven't cut the speaker holes as yet. Priority at the moment is the doors & dash board.
Then we put this jigsaw puzzle back together.

Now that Thirsty is back, he has a job to too... Door seals & drip rail seals.
Question - What's the best product for glueing the rubber seals in place?

Regards, Doc
