Looks good Scott. I think I may have suggested it before, but, if you ever decide to move east let me know.

We have artificial trees inside. I have worked in a shop that had a pulling tree outside though. Not quite as effective as a car-o-liner but gets the job done.

Can I borrow that red thing? I need to lay it in my daughters car for a while to get rid of some of the dings in her car ;-)

We have a 305 and TH350 that came out of a jag we had a few years back. We rebuilt the motor and the lot has less than 10K kms on it. Think I still have all the engine mounts and tail shaft as well.

Scott you would have been one of those kids at Xmas that dismantled the toy rather than use it as intended :) this is awesome work and another great project. I'm still working on the flux capacitor for the time machine and when I get it working I will generate some more time for you :)

Would be nice if you could get that time machine up and running, i lost around 11/2 weeks with a good dose of the Man Flu :vomit: even my standard cure... the high volume Bundy Rum body flush let me down.

A couple of days after my last post i managed to weld up most of the panel bar about 10 spot welds before the argon ran out on the Mig, then i got sick.

A couple of days ago i picked up another bottle of argon and finished the welding.
The top of the quarter panels where bent in and twisted down so required a fair bit of manipulation with some heat and hammer and dolly.
The gaps on the boot lid are now reasonable compared to the not so great large panel gaps on the rest of the Jag.
I also got the first skim of body filler over the repairs and seam sealer where the factory originally had it on the joins, and did a bit of re brazing each side where the rear panel joins the quarters.

Also removed some trim near the rear window where there was a bit of rust bubble under the paint. Gave it a sandblast, treated and skimmed some filler over the pitting.
This is the only rust i have found.
I have got the paint and with any luck i may get around to finishing the body filler and paint it up this weekend or during next week.
