I am interested in what the Dyno HP and Torque you had when she broke. Just for the old memory bank.
It is far easier to break them when using forced induction.

We broke 3 SBC blocks in a mates E type jag, it was making 700 at the wheels. Blocks were grout filled to the welsh plugs.
If you are going Dart go straight to a 4-1/8 bore and 3.4 stroke. 363 cui.
