Most of that stuff is hand made, exactly what I do here at Duggo. I have all that sheet metal machinery in my shed.

The car had been no issue, just that buying parts like a Mustang is almost non existent here in Australia.

Rear of the rear rails had rust & damage, so the ends were fabbed up & welded in place. To gain entry, I removed a rectangular section of the rear apron on each side. That also allowed me to make up new bumper attachment points ......

Welding finished on the outer sections, then tested it by using those points as the mounts on the rotisserie ...... :$

Beautiful work there Kerry, im missing doing rust repairs its so much fun.
I've seen a few Capri's for sale a few months ago locally and almost pulled the trigger on one as like many here i have always wanted one.
However as i havent got to my shed to any of my many projects for a long time, some sort of logic kicked in (my wife) and convinced me i dont need another project.
I had to agree, as there is no more space left until i build another shed.

Just quietly mate, it would be quicker to finish a couple of those projects in the shed. ;)

The LH front mudguard was something else when it was blasted. Someone had really carried out a nice repair on it during its lifetime ......

Add to that there was rusted sections in the lower rear & upper rear, but all fixed by the time I remembered the camera ......

So it was a case of needing a donor mudguard for the section we wanted (also gained a wheel arch for the second Capri, but more on that when I build it ..... ;) ) .......

RH mudguard was not as bad, but got the same treatment at the rear as the LH one ........

Wish I had been on here when this was first posted so I could say I know of 2 sitting in a paddock near kingaroy if parts are needed. I will post a pic tonight when I get home
The word "swims" upside-down is still "swims".

BTW, both front mudguard wheel arches got the "rolled & wired" treatment. I did that for a few reasons, one being that wider wheels & tyres will be on it & another was the arch lip was in a poor state, so having a reinforced edge was the answer ...... ;)

I will let him know as I will be up at his shed today (colour has gone on the edges & engine bay) ...... :cheer:

We have another to build, the second one will be a Perana clone (as it had a V8 in it before this owner bought it.

Quality stuff Kerry. Nice to see some old school resto techniques again. As much as we whinge about the quality of most of the Mustang replacement parts & the work required to make them fit to our standards, we really are spoilt compared to things like this.
