Re: stock weight
Boof, you are correct in that they were the best model for those years. Ford needed a few years plus one to perfect the design and colour; then the Red 1968 Fastback was born!
Rumour has it that the workforce at Ford was so taken by the beauty and sheer awesomeness of the Red 1968 Fastbacks, that it caused mass hysteria requiring a couple of months off work for the lot of them! Ford tried to cover this up by referring to it as a 'mass withdrawal of skilled labour from our production facilities'- so I hear...

See, as Nuts quite correctly observes, even the 'birds' prefer it!
Thanks Nuts, and yes, I don't mind if you cuddle her again. And no, I will not mention this to the others.- our secret (together with whomever reads our PMs)

Thx Jeff, hybrid wrote:You could also argue that you could buy paxton supercharged versions brand new from Shelby.jbb wrote:Thanks everyone.
Yep Boof, its like Hybrid explained.
he just wants to ensure its right because it supercharged .
I had already told him 2800 from what i knew, but thought best to check weight with others

Interested to see how you fair. I will get mine done one day when I have wads of cash spare.
Maybe when the kids are in school.
engineers not giving any trouble, just wants to tick all the boxes.
Its in my 66Fb 4.6DOHC S factory supercharged ( so not paxton- However the 67 with Paxton is no issue for him, he's doing both cars)
The 66 fits fine with power/weight.
I have copy of Andrews Engineers certificate for his stock fastback from 2013 and it happens to be done by same engineer.- it lists 1380kg original.
So ill show him that

Please tell me you aren't using the same engineer as me? I guess he does live in your neighbourhood

yep, he lives 2 streets away.ACTstanglover wrote:Please tell me you aren't using the same engineer as me? I guess he does live in your neighbourhood
he picked 3 minor things and wanted to know what steering parts were used on the 67 .
Ive got that all sorted and should get my cert by end week.
Showed him over the 66Fb, told him everything and was all happy.
just wants full list of mods, stock weight (thx) and new weight.
then just brake and noise test. ( and it sounds quieter than the 67, which was only 92db)
hopefully fb regard by mid june.
