It would be nice if that "open loop" map was tune-able. I'd be much more comfortable with it.
It would be even better if you could say "the car ran perfectly this run, so I want to transfer this live tune to the open loop tune"

I will someday think of something clever to say.

just as MS does...hybrid wrote:It would be nice if that "open loop" map was tune-able. I'd be much more comfortable with it.

It's huge. But I can fit it here, there's plenty of room..Dwayne wrote:How big is the fuel centre? Just wondering where you would be able to fit it in the engine bay.

Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
Not exactly... you can't do that via EGO correction. Only when you're auto tuning. But yeah.. this concept of just using the O2 sensor to do EGO correction over a default map doesn't sit well with me.boofhead wrote:just as MS does...hybrid wrote:It would be nice if that "open loop" map was tune-able. Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
You can't put it up the front anywhere?
That exhaust is going to make sure the fuel in that tank stays very hot. Especially being a return less system.
Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
I have a huge hole in the hood. it'll be fine. You worry too much!!Husky65 wrote:You can't put it up the front anywhere?

Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
I'd put it in the battery spot and put the battery in the boot.
Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
I do worry a lot you're right. I just think regardless of airflow, the exhaust manifolds are going to really heat it up there. I don't want you to have a drama later which could be the result of hot fuel.Nuts wrote:I have a huge hole in the hood. it'll be fine. Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
Wouldn't want it to spring a leak either if it's sitting above the exhaust.
Re: Nuts Goes SImple EFI
Yeah, but that could be said of any fuel system really. Even the standard pump location is right beside the exhaust.

MMM Following with interest!!

If it leaks and burns my car i'll just build another better one.Dwayne wrote:Wouldn't want it to spring a leak either if it's sitting above the exhaust.
